A Level and Vocational Business students visited Barcelona to experience life and businesses beyond the British border.

From Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th February, A Level and Vocational students embarked on a trip to Barcelona. During the trip, the Business Studies students were given the opportunity to sightsee and to experience various businesses and places of interest in Barcelona. On Tuesday they visited Torres Winery, one of the most famous and long-established of Catalonia, which allowed students to witness the thousand-year-old tradition of winemaking for themselves.

They also visited Camp Nou Football Stadium, the home of FC Barcelona, the sports club that most represents Catalonia and which projects the Catalonian image around the world. Student Johnny Garth enjoyed this visit the most, saying that, “The hotel and organisation of the trip was great, with a bonus of a match ticket to see FC Barcelona play!

On Wednesday the students took part in a boat trip and port tour, before their return to England the next day. Danielle Wellock said that, “The visit to Barcelona Port was interesting and eye opening; we learnt about the different businesses at the port.

The students are looking forward to many more exciting ventures as part of their Business Studies experience at the College!
