Families are invited to come along and enjoy a wide range of exciting activities with Lancashire Adult Learning and Nelson and Colne College.
The annual Family Fun Day will take place between 11am and 3pm at Nelson and Colne College on Saturday 30th June and families who attend can expect a fantastic line-up of free, fun activities.
Lancashire Adult Learning will be providing free family learning activities including Fun with Robotics, Green Screen Filming, a Treasure Hunt and K’nex. On top of that, visitors will have the chance to get up close to a range of visiting farm animals, enjoy a bouncy castle, have their face painted and much more. There will also be a variety of market stalls to browse and a food court and picnic area.
Lancashire Adult Learning’s brand new course guide for the Autumn will also be available to pick up – and there will be the option to enrol onto one of wide range of courses on offer across the county.
Lancashire Adult Learning’s Associate Principal Tracey Baron said: “Our Family Fun Day is a brilliant opportunity for families from across Lancashire to get together and enjoy a day out with free activities. We have another fantastic line-up of activities planned to take part in this year, with the bonus of great entertainment to enjoy and a broad selection of stalls to explore.
“There will also be a range of free family learning activities on offer, and this will include arts and crafts and ICT, for visitors to sample.
“The new course guide for Autumn will be available on the day and this is full of high-quality courses to help adults across the county learn a new skill, start a hobby, or develop their career prospects. At the event, anybody interested in finding out more about any of our courses will be able to speak to our team of expert staff and enrol. Once again, we are looking forward to welcoming families on the day.”
In February, Lancashire Adult Learning was named as the national Adult and Community Learning Provider of the Year winner at the Tes FE Awards.
As well as its targeted delivery and partnership work, Lancashire Adult Learning offers a huge range of planned provision across the Red Rose County, from Arts and Crafts to Humanities classes, Languages to Health and Wellbeing sessions and Functional Skills and Employability courses.
