What an amazing day our Nelson & Colne College Digital students had at the recent Industry Day at Lancashire’s e-commerce business EKM.
Students explored marketing, business development, user experience, web design, software development and so much more!
The packed itinerary included inspiring and motivating presentations from CEO Antony as well as the different EKM teams. Then a tour of their offices with students being able to use the recreational facilities and a programming masterclass for the Digital T level students.
The pandemic has had a massive detrimental impact on students and that is why spending the day at EKM with professional and inspiring speakers was really special for them and will no doubt have a massive impact on their College journey.
The students were able to see what it would be like to work in an IT company in the future and what skills and qualities are needed to succeed. After a full day of learning, the students finished their day with an essential trip down EKMs famous three-story slide!
