The outstanding talents of Nelson and Colne College’s Art and Design and Film and Media students are set to be showcased at their End of Year Show.

The free exhibition will run from 10am to 4pm on Thursday 16th June, and a VIP event will be held on Wednesday 15th June, between 6pm and 8pm.

VIP guests will include the Mayor and Mayoress of Pendle, local high school representatives, industry representatives and future NCC students.

The events, which will be held in NCC’s Art Department, are a celebration of the creative work of both A Level and vocational students, including those on the highly esteemed Foundation Art and Design programme.

Visitors will be invited to view a diverse selection of art, from fashion and textiles displays, short films and graphic designs, as well as fine art, 3D work and photography.

Many of the students exhibiting at the show are set to progress to some of the top art and design degree programmes across the country, including:

  • Leeds College of Art (including onto a highly competitive photography course)
  • UCLan
  • University of Huddersfield (with some students being given unconditional offers based on their portfolios onto highly competitive fashion and textiles courses)
