A keen badminton player with a passion for fashion will progress on to Northumbria University after achieving an ace set of A Levels at Nelson and Colne College.
Hannah Jacks, 18, formerly of Ribblesdale High School, achieved ABB in her A Levels in Fashion and Textiles, Sociology and English Language and Linguistics.
Hannah is a keen badminton player who has represented Lancashire and has coached at Colne Badminton Club, but it is her love of fashion that will see her study the subject in greater detail at university, before a career in the industry as either a designer or a buyer.
Hannah said: “I’m very pleased with my results and they have enabled me to progress to university and study fashion where I can develop my skills further.
“I really enjoyed my time at Nelson and Colne College, because I received support from my tutors inside and outside of lessons, and there are set areas throughout the college for silent study or for meeting friends.
“I think the teaching staff are definitely what make the departments and College so successful, as they devote so much time to ensuring that you are on the right track to achieve your full potential.”
