Level 2 Applied Science

Units may include:

• Principles of applied science
• Chemistry and our earth
• Energy and our universe
• Biology and our environment
• Applications of chemical substances
• Applications of physical science
• Health applications of life science
• Scientific skills

Two of the units are assessed by written exams. All other units are assessed by written assignments. They are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction. For every assignment you will receive an assignment brief which will clearly outline what you have to do for the assessment and how you can achieve your grades.

At the end of the year you will gain a Level 2 with two grades; e.g. Distinction, Distinction. You need to gain at least M,M and a L2/GCSE Maths and English to progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science.

At the end of the year you will gain a Level 2 with two grades; e.g. Distinction, Distinction. You need to gain at least M,M and a L2/GCSE Maths and English to progress onto the Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Applied Science.
